Personal Information Protection Policy

Craftsman Software, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) recognizes the importance of handling personal information appropriately. Accordingly, the Company has established this Personal Information Protection Policy. Its officers and employees will work together to comply with this Policy and make every effort to protect personal information.

1. When acquiring personal information, the Company will specify its purpose of use as clearly as possible and will acquire personal information only to the extent necessary to achieve that purpose. For the purposes for which the Company uses personal information, please refer to “Handling of Personal Information.”
2. When acquiring personal information directly from an individual in writing, the Company will first inform the individual of the Company’s name, the name and contact information of the Personal Information Protection Manager, the purpose of use, and other relevant matters, and will acquire personal information only to the extent necessary.
3. The Company will use personal information only within the scope of the purpose of use to which the individual has consented. The Company will also establish and implement procedures for taking the measures necessary to prevent the use of personal information for any purpose other than the stated purpose.
4. The Company will manage the personal information it holds in an appropriate manner and will not disclose or provide it to any third party without the individual’s consent.
5. The Company will keep the personal information it holds accurate and up to date, to the extent necessary for the applicable purpose of use. The Company will take reasonable security measures against risks such as the leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and will endeavor to prevent and remedy any such incidents. For information on the security control measures implemented by the Company, please refer to “Handling of Personal Information.”
6. When outsourcing the processing of personal information, the Company will impose contractual obligations on the service provider, including obligations to prevent leakage and not to provide the information to third parties, and will appropriately supervise the service provider.
7. The Company will respond to complaints and inquiries regarding the personal information it holds when such complaints or inquiries are submitted through its inquiry desk.
8. The Company will comply with laws and regulations, guidelines established by the national government, and other standards concerning the handling of personal information.
9. The Company will establish a Personal Information Protection Management System, review it periodically, and continuously improve it.
